
Mike Sinclair
Mr. Mike Sinclair is the Superintendent of Schools for the Charter Institute at Erskine. He provides direct support to Institute schools and supervises the School Support team. His responsibilities include overseeing PowerSchool, School Improvement, State Programs, ADEPT and certification requirements, Title III, special education, and federal programs. Before joining the Institute, Mr. Sinclair served as the founding principal of Brashier Middle College Charter High School from 2006 to 2022. Under his leadership, Brashier became one of the top high schools in South Carolina, earning the National Blue Ribbon Award in 2022. He also held the position of Principal at Berea Middle School from 2002 to 2006, a Title I middle school. Mr. Sinclair holds a Master’s in Education Administration from Furman University, a Master’s in Secondary Education from Converse College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Carolina. Throughout his career, Mr. Sinclair has been recognized as the State Charter Principal of the Year and is a Milken Award winner.
Mr. Sinclair has been married to his wife for 25 years, and together they have three children. Outside of work, he enjoys running and traveling.
